One Guyana Sand Football Competition…
Kaieteur Sports- LA Ballers registered a 13-1 shellacking on Fearless to open their bid for top honours in the Kings section Saturday night, when the One Guyana Sand Football competition in Linden continued in the outfield outside at the People’s Progressive Party / Civic in Mackenzie, Linden.
That Kings Group C encounter was the first for the LA Ballers and that one-sided victory was hinged on a four-goal haul from two hat-tricks slammed in by Marcus Tudor (3rd, 9th and 24th minutes) and Zidane Ramdehol (11th, 16th and 30 minutes), doubles from Jashawn Moore (18th and 27th minutes) and Nicholas Gentle (15th and 20th minutes) with Tyric McAllister (26th minute), Nickel Joseph (28th minute) and Andre Mayers (29th minute) being the other scorers.
Their only reply was from Nicholas Walker for Fearless.
Group C’s Team Minerals have won their two matches played so far, having defeated Swan FC 4-0, and last Friday brushing aside Speightland 4-0.
Group D’s Bomberz are also with two wins from two matches played having put away the challenge of YMCA and last Friday beating Rockstone 4-2, behind braces from Shemiah Samuels (4th and 16th minutes) and Dequan Samuels (8th and 26th minutes).
On the first day last Monday, Rockstone playing in Group D won their opening match versus Hardball Management and Saturday night they defeated Goal IQ with Daniel Adolph scoring in the 3rd and 18th minutes of the game as Nathaniel Isaacs scored in the 5th minute as the goal-getter on the losing side.
Other matches in the tournament saw Swan FC getting the better of Speightland by a 4-0 advantage, as Mark Loncke scored two goals in the 7th and 8th minutes, while Christoff Roberts 12th minute and Devon Loncke in the 13th minute, getting the other goals.
One Syde outplayed Avocado Ballers 3-1, with Carlos Escobar netting in the 3rd minute, Johana Mendonca in the 8th minute and Angel Hinds in the 18th minute getting the other goals.
The goal for the losing Avocado Bsllers was from the boot of Dexter Milo Jr.
In another Kings match Spaniards defeated Foundation Family 4-1, behind Shawn Jones who hit a brace in the 19th and 22nd minutes, Brandon Solomon in the 21st minute and Jerry Burnett in the 29th minute, being their other scorers.
For the Foundation Family Kevin Dormeck netted in the 24th minute.
The Guyana Defence Force started their quest for honours in the One Guyana’ Sand Football tournament, whipped Avocado Ballers, 7-1, in a Group A match with Candy Lewis had four goals which were scored in the 13th, 19th, 29th and 21st minutes of play.
The lone goal for Avocado Ballers was registered by Alejandro Matura in the 7th minute.
In the other female encounter played in Group B, Iconic Strikers won for the second time blasting their way to a 6-1 victory against Fearless.
Topping their scoring was Tiandi Smith who had a hat-trick, with goals in the 3rd, 8th and 10th minutes.
Shantel Reece added to the scoring in the 4th, Amanda McKenzie (5th) and Janelle Edmondson in the 20th minute.
The championship in both the Kings and Queens competitions continues on Wednesday at the tournament venue in Mackenzie, Linden.
