GDF rank missing after falling into Cuyuni River
Kaieteur News- The Guyana Defence Force, in a statement late Thursday, said that one of its soldiers, Lance Corporal Stefon Tudor, went missing after falling into the Cuyuni River at Makapa, Region Seven.

He was reportedly part of a patrol in the river when tragedy struck, between 14:00 and 15:00 hrs.
“The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) troops stationed at Eteringbang and Makapa on the Guyana-Venezuela Border are currently engaged in efforts to locate him”, the GDF said, before adding that “A Board of Inquiry has been convened to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident”.
