Nursing assistant charged with inciting acts of terrorism, remanded
Kaieteur News- Tianna Serena Lewis-King, who was wanted by the Guyana Police Force (GPF) for public mischief, on Friday, was charged and remanded to prison.

King, 23, of Sixth Street, Graham Street, Better Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD), appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate, Faith McGusty, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, where the charge of Inciting Acts of Terrorism, Contrary to Section 309(A)(2) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01 was read to her.
According to the police, King was not required to plead and that bail was objected to by the prosecutor. She was remanded to prison and is expected to return to court on May 30, 2025.
Meanwhile, Randolph Kingston, who was also wanted by the GPF for the similar offence, on Friday, was charged and granted $300,000 bail for Using a Computer System to Inciting Acts of Terrorism.
Kingston pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on or between April 30 and May 5, 2025 at Kitty, Georgetown, he used a computer system, inciting persons to commit terrorist acts.
Kingston was represented by attorney Nigel Hughes who requested bail. He told the court that there was no evidence presented by the prosecution that his client in any way broadcast the conversation. He pointed out that they did not have an IP address linked to him, no record to show that Kingston was in any way responsible for the broadcasting of that recording.
The persecution said that the recording caused persons to accuse the Government and the GPF of corruption.
Hughes said that corruption is not an act of terrorism. He further pointed out that the commander for Region Three who lied to the public that the young lady had left the hotel when her body was still in the premises, is the person who should be charged with insisting terrorism. He said the GPF is charging his client based on word from a woman who admitted to being a liar.
Magistrate McGusty after hearing the argument, released Kingston on $300,000 bail. The matter was adjourned until May 30, 2025.
