Nurse wanted for public mischief surrenders
…falsely claims in recording she witnessed Adriana’s autopsy
Kaieteur News- A nursing assistant, Tiana Serena Lewis-King of Georgetown has surrendered hours after the Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Monday issued a wanted bulletin for her arrest. She is accused of falsely claiming that she was present during the Post Mortem Examination of 11-year-old Adriana Younge.
Reports reaching Kaieteur News are that she turned herself in, acompanied by her lawyers, late Monday afternoon at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Lewis-King in what appeared to be a private conversation with a male alleged that she was present for the PME at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) conducted on April 28, upon the request of Health Minister, Dr. Frank Anthony. In a leaked voice recording of the conversation the woman also made other damning statements regarding Adriana’s cause of death and the state of the child’s body, contrary to the official findings shared by the state and the family’s Attorney, Darren Wade.
To this end, the GPF in a statement that accompanied the wanted bulletin explained, “An immediate investigation was launched in relation to a voice note purportedly made by Tiana Serena Lewis-King, a nursing assistant…where she falsely stated that she was present during the post mortem examination of Adriana Younge. She further stated that she was sent there by the Minister of Health.”
Police said the health minister when contacted not only denied this claim but also knowledge of Lewis-King. Additionally, Wade and Dr. Celeb McCloggan who were both present during the autopsy also confirmed to police that she was not present for the PME of Adriana Younge.
Moreover, the GPF said a review of the autopsy video record further served to verify that the nursing assistant was never present in the room. Additionally, police noted, “at no time whatsoever did the three qualified foreign pathologists who were present ask any nurse assistants for their opinions; and at no time was anyone present requested or required to write their names down on paper.”
To this end, the Guyana Police Force concluded that the recording is clearly intended to create public mischief, pervert and obstruct the course of justice, among other criminal offices.
Meanwhile, in a separate statement, the Minister of Health said he understands that the nursing assistant is employed by the Ministry of Health and currently works at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. Dr. Anthony said the person is not known to him, and was never sent on his behalf. “As far as I am aware, I do not know this person. I have never met this person, and have never spoken to this person. Therefore, assuming she was present, she was not there upon my instructions or on my behalf,” the minister explained.
He added that he is presently in consultation with his lawyers, regarding legal action he may pursue against the medical staff for attempting to maliciously tarnish his professional, public and personal reputation and standing.
