Bagotstown man shot dead
Kaieteur News- Police are investigating the shooting death of Mark Anthony Benjamin, 37 years old of Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara, which occurred Tuesday evening.
Police said the incident occurred around 18:40 hours at Norton Street, Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara by suspect Hosea Salmon.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the victim and the suspect were known to each other, and they had an alteraction, which led to the suspect shooting the victim to his head, and thereafter, he made good his escape.
The victim was later pronounced dead, and his body is currently at the Memorial Gardens Mortuary awaiting post mortem examination.
The Police are in pursuit of the suspect while investigations remain ongoing.
