Vriese and other individuals were at the side of the truck, attempting to repair it when the incident occurred resulting in both vehicles being severely damaged.
Ramirez sustained severe head injuries and other bodily injuries. He was removed from the car in an unconscious state by police officers and members of the public and was then transported to the Diamond Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His body was taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
