Kaieteur Sports- The East Bank Cricket Association (EBCA) Soesdyke Premier League T10 Cricket Competition rolls into its second weekend of matches, scheduled for tomorrow and Sunday at three local venues: the Farm, Laluni, and Canal #2 grounds.
Last weekend’s opening round saw thrilling performances, with several players making an explosive start to the tournament. Christopher Barnwell, Jonte Thomas, Sayad Lakeram, Riyah Latif, Leon Johnson, and Deonarine Dindiyal all registered half-centuries. Notably, Raptor’s batter Quinton Sampson delivered an electrifying knock, scoring 94 runs, narrowly missing out on a century by just six runs.
As it stands, Uprising Cricket Club, North Soesdyke Sports Club, Eccles Sports Club, Herstelling A Cricket Team, and Laluni Sports Club have maintained perfect records with two wins apiece. Meanwhile, Silverbullet Sports Club, Timehri Sports Club, and Farm Sports Club remain in search of their first victories after two losses each.
This weekend’s fixtures promise even more high-energy action. On Saturday at the Farm ground, North Soesdyke will face Diamond Sports Club at 10:00 am, followed by Patreta Cricket Club versus Diamond, and finally, North Soesdyke will play Patreta in their second match of the day.
Over at Canal #2 ground, Eccles Sports Club will start the day against the Laluni Boys, followed by a matchup between Silverbullet Sports Club and Eccles. Laluni will then take on Silverbullet in the final match of the day.
Meanwhile, at the Laluni ground, Herstelling A Cricket Team will meet Peter’s Hall Sports Club at 10:00 am. The day continues with Farm Sports Club going up against Herstelling A, and the final match will feature Peter’s Hall facing Farm.
The excitement doesn’t end there. Sunday, November 10, will feature another packed day with three matches at the Farm Ground and another three simultaneously at the Laluni Sports Club ground. Fans can look forward to another action-filled weekend in this fast-paced T10 league.
