Kaieteur News – My journey in the world of media began at the tender age of 10, when I started learning the ropes of the business by assisting my dad in selling newspapers in the bustling market and along the streets. This early exposure ignited my passion for the industry, and as I progressed through high school, I delved deeper into the intricacies of media operations.
Upon graduating, my first official job was in the accounts department, where I immersed myself in learning the inner workings of financial systems and implementing improvements. Eager to explore further, I transitioned into graphic and advertisement layout honing my creative skills and contributing to the visual appeal of various media platforms.
My journey took an exciting turn when I migrated to the United States, where I took on a leadership role in managing the Kaieteur Newspaper New York Edition distributed across Queens, Brooklyn, and Bronx. This experience broadened my perspective and enriched my understanding of the diverse media landscape.
Upon returning to Guyana, I seized the opportunity to make a significant impact by spearheading the transformation of Kaieteur Radio into one of the most popular and widely listened-to radio stations in the country. The Kaieteur Radio, the radio with a difference, covers from coast to coast and targets all ages and ethnic backgrounds aiming to be diverse. This journey has been filled with challenges and triumphs, but through it all, my unwavering commitment to transparency, educating and serving the nation has remained steadfast.
My experiences in the newspaper and radio industry have been both challenging and rewarding, shaping me into a stronger and more resilient individual. Despite facing numerous obstacles, I am beyond proud to have played a role in shaping the media landscape and contributing to the growth and development of our nation.
