Dec 08, 2023 Letters
‘Dr. Henry Jeffrey should tell African community what he has ever done for them’ (Letter from Hubert Allen; KN: 07/12/2023) sounds very much like an article from Dr. Randy Persaud, to which my response was ‘Randy Persaud move on’ (KN: 26/09/2023), and I suggest that you either refer him to or reprint it for him.
Mr. Allen, for decades, the oligarchs in the PPP have nurtured their ethnic supporters to believe African people are a threat and that they need the PPP to protect them. This of course is a fallacy that the African people need to confront by requiring that their representatives are not thrown aside as is the habit of the PPP, only to be brought out when the country is in dire straits. Africans must have an equitable say in government: better gridlock than marginalisation and slavery!
It would be more useful to deal with the argument that is being proffered and then try to show some relationship between the competence/incompetence of the presenter and the shortcomings of that argument. I believe this will be a bit more challenging than the customary PPP attempts at personalisation.
Sincerely,
Henry Jeffrey
