Dear Editor,
As we look around Georgetown and its environs, the country as a whole most of our historic sites and structures aren’t being maintained and preserved to protect and preserve the legacy of the persons, whose brain were the instrument or the wombs from which it was conceived.
The National Cultural Centre has been scheduled for renovation and repairs for so long, but today nothing has been done to treat this with a sense of urgency.
Durban Park is almost falling apart but nothing has been done to ensure its maintenance, viability and preservation.
English Language is our language, a Guyanese Language as we know it, but daily, the erosion of English is dominant by Spanish, Portuguese, through an invasion of foreign nationals in our country.
It’s no longer One People, One Nation One Destiny- it’s One Guyana.
When will it end?
Shouldn’t we as Guyanese fight for the preservation of our culture and the things that identity us as Guyanese?
While we accept that our Guyana is changing with the advent of technology, it is my belief that there still needs to be a preservation of culture, identity and a Guyanese uniqueness and patriotism
Yours faithfully,
Concerned Guyanese

(Kaieteur News) – BBC and other Western media called them irregulars. Unorthodox also sold well. I fuse elements from irregulars and unorthodox to my preference for unpredictable.
