Kaieteur Sports – Those inclined to form words and spell will have a chance to show off their skills. The Trophy Stall and Lui and Associates in association with the Guyana Scrabble Association (GSA) will be holding a one day Diwali Scrabble Competition on Saturday 11th November.
The competition is being held in an effort to help resuscitate the game of Scrabble in the country.
The 6 rounds competition will be held at the Flavas Restaurant and Bar at Charlotte Street between Orange walk and Cummings Street. Starting time is 09:00 hrs.

The competition, which is open to everyone, will have a number of trophies and other incentives available.
Apart from the winners and runner up there will be rewards for the best emerging player. The player forming the most Bingos (seven letter words). The player scoring the most points without using a seven letter words.
The coordinator is Roy Sharma while Nellisha and Waveney Johnson are the tournament directors. (Samuel Whyte)
