Kaieteur News – Police on Monday arrested the suspect in the killing of a 16-year-old boy over a female at a bar at Issano Landing, Middle Mazuruni River, Region Seven on Monday.
This publication had reported that on Monday at about 01:30hrs Raymond Cozier, a miner of Isseneru Village, Middle Mazaruni River was stabbed to death by his drinking buddy.
According to police, Cozier and the suspect were consuming alcohol, during which the victim was dancing with a female. The suspect reportedly expressed an interest to dance with the said female, but it resulted in an argument between the two.
Following the argument, the suspect brandished a knife and dealt Cozier one stab to his right upper arm and then fled the scene. The victim, who suffered severe blood loss, was then taken to the Issano Health Centre, where he later succumbed while receiving treatment to his injury. Police are currently on the search for the suspect.
