DCB U13 franchise tournament
Kaieteur Sports – The Demerara Cricket Board (U13) competition bowled off yesterday with a huge 6-wicket win for the Falcons, setting the tone for the remainder of the competition.
The Eagles batted first and were skittled out for 32 in 22.4 overs. Opener Nathan Bishop had 10 runs, but no other player could reach double figures during their team’s opening innings.
Brandon Henry grabbed 3-3 during his spell, with Kristoff Tracy grabbing two wickets while five other bowlers ended with a wicket each for the Falcons.
Falcons, in reply, ended on 41-4 after Tracy returned to hit 26 and with support from opener Omar Delcharran (11).
Two Eagles bowlers, Navin Narine and Joshua Williams, each snapped up two wickets in a good but futile effort.
Round two continues today with the Hawks and Crows battling at the QC Ground.
