Kaieteur News – The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), in collaboration with its partner sponsor GTT, presents National Small Business Week, a prestigious event that celebrates and elevates the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Guyana.
According to a statement issued by GCCI, the week is filled with activities to foster collaborations and culminating with an expo taking place at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre on July 29, 2023. The week-long initiative aims to enhance the visibility and success of our vibrant MSME community, and to highlight the need for collaborative efforts in Guyana’s growing economy.
National Small Business Week will showcase a dynamic program, featuring a captivating video series highlighting the journeys of rising entrepreneurs. In addition, GCCI councillors will embark on regional outreaches, bringing valuable support and guidance directly to local businesses. A highlight of the week will be the highly anticipated ‘Teenternship’ program, empowering students with hands-on training alongside accomplished business executives. Furthermore, participating businesses will offer exclusive discounts on their products and services, creating unparalleled opportunities for customers.
Dr. Rosh Khan, Head of the National Small Business Week, emphasized the vital role of small businesses within our communities. He states, “National Small Business Week, now in its second year, aims to provide our MSME members with invaluable advice and guidance from accomplished business executives. This event is a strategic collaboration for success, as we recognize the tremendous potential of small businesses to drive positive change in the world of business and beyond.”
