Dem Boys Seh…
Kaieteur News – In dis place called GT, something real strange happenin’, yuh know. Dem oil companies raping de country of its de natural blessings. Dem plundering de resources of dis poor nation.
So how come nobody nah forming picket line fuh protest dis rape of we country’s wealth? Dis is not allegation. Dis is facts. Most Guyanese agree dat Guyana getting violated leff right, centre and back.
As dem oil companies marchin’ into GT drillin’ and pumping oil’ fuh all dey worth; it lookin’ like dem cyant get enough. Dem ain’t gan leave not a drop behind. Is one field development plan after de other. Dem want every last bit of GT’s wealth, all in de name of progress.
So where are de protestors? Where dem firebrand people and groups who does holler ’bout injustice and exploitation and rights? Dem gone pon a long siesta. Or dem turn deaf and blind when it comes to dem oil companies. One got to wonder why when it comes to de rape of we resources de protest crowd gone AWOL. Maybe dem joinin’ forces with de oil companies. Just maybe! After all, wah betta way fuh fight de system dan becomin’ part ah it?
Or maybe de people ah GT done get used to de violation, dem resources stripped away in de name of progress. Dem acceptin’ deh role as bystanders while dem oil companies exploitin’ dem. Dem sit back and let it happen. Dis real odd, man. While dem oil companies raping we wealth, de protestors vanish like dem never existed. Maybe one day dem goin’ come back, chantin’ catchy slogans and demanding justice. But fuh now, GT’s resources goin’ keep gettin’ violated while de whole country watchin’ like dem ain’t care.
