Remaining eight teams battle tonight for semifinal slots
Republic Classic Beach Football at Christianburg ground
Kaieteur News – It’s down to the final eight teams which will now battle for places in the semifinals of the inaugural Pinnacle Promotions’ Group organized Republic Beach Football tournament which takes place tonight at the Christianburg Community Centre ground in Wismar, Linden.

Last Saturday, the eight qualifiers were determined after the results showed Underdogs getting past Kwakwani Strikers 3-2, Aroiama were held to a 3-3 draw against Timehri Panthers played to a 3-3 stalemate, Coomacka Mines won when Young Kings failed to show, Haynes Hard Ballers knocked out Golden Stars 4-2, Underdogs eliminated Dave and Celena’s who did not turn up, Hard Knocks bettered Haynes Hard Ballers 4-3 and Young Gunners edged Turf Kings, 4-3.
Those advancing were to play in the knockout round were Hi Stars, Underdogs, Turk Kings, Haynes Hard Ballers, Aroiama, Timehri Panthers, Hard Knocks and Young Gunners.
Tonight the fixtures read Hard Knocks against Timehri Panthers at 7.00pm, Haynes Hard Ballers versus Aroiama from 8.00pm, Hi Stars meet Young Gunners at 9.00pm and the night cap brings together Turk Kings and Underdogs from 10.00pm.
For this beach football competition the sponsors on board are the Ministry of Culture, Youth and sport, Farose Investments, Ansa McAl Trading using their Magnum Tonic and Lucozade brands and GuyOil.
