Dear Editor,
It was only recently I read the irate letter penned by Mr. Moseley. He is obviously hurt by the truth I have expressed. One just has to look at what is stated in Wikipedia about President Burnham to better grasp what is not my personal impression, but what is known worldwide.
I quote “Despite being widely regarded as one of the principal architects of the postcolonial Guyanese state, his presidency was nonetheless marred by repeated accusations of Afro-supremacy, state-sanctioned violence, economic collapse, electoral fraud and corruption”.
Mr. Mosley may now take his show on the road and try to convince the world otherwise. Unfortunately, no one will believe the apartheid garbage that Burnham’s followers are selling. The acts of the PNC since pre-independence speak volumes to the intent and supremist approach taken by this corrupt group who are now desperately trying to convince the world that they no longer are a dictatorship seeking party, but instead victims of apartheid. How ridiculous is this assertion. When the world’s view of the PNC and their partners change then and only then an audience may consider the message your team is trying to peddle amongst educated people.
The attempted theft of the last elections has only reinforced the world’s view of President Burnham’s legacy. The country almost regressed back into dictatorship. Luckily, President Granger did not cross the same line which President Burnham did in the past. The civilized and educated world has placed sanctions on these so called leaders of apartheid victims because the world saw clearly that they are the same old PNC dictatorship-seeking bunch of hypocrites.
Best regards,
Mr. Jamil Changlee
