Dear Editor,
We learnt of the transition of our Gracious Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.
Due to the sudden passing of her predecessor, Queen Elizabeth had to suspend her holiday in Kenya with her husband Phillip.
I recall, as others of my generation, and those who were already in the political hustings seeking Independence in 1952 and could not help admiring her youthful grace and elegance as she ascended the throne of England.
She earned the admiration and affection of us all as she maintained even in times of stress, an elevated dignity.
On behalf of my wife and family, I tender condolences to the Royal Family, her Subjects and British Citizens throughout the world.
I also take this opportunity to wish King Charles III, the new Monarch, best wishes for a successful reign.
Hamilton Green
Elder
