Dear Editor,
The happenings on Saturday in Sri Lanka forcing both the President and Prime Minister to issue resignations, was a long time coming. From a regaled position of victor to now a President on the run and vanquished is a story of how a mighty family has fallen. Many lessons from the turbulent, chaotic situations in that country which led to the storming of the presidential residence and burning of the PM’s home are there for the taking.
A week that saw two leaders of governments from different sides of the globe issuing resignations
The power of the people must never be underestimated.
