The organisers of the inaugural ‘Daddy and Me’ competition which was scheduled for Saturday June 18, 2022, at the Transport Sports Club Ground were forced to postpone citing illness of a number of the participants as the major contributing factor.
The competition was set to showcase fathers and sons competing against their counterparts in different sports challenges, will now be held on July 24, 2022, at the same venue. Tickets bought for the original date will still be valid for the new date and remains at a cost of $1000.
Warren Wilson, Founder of Pink Diamond Promotions said, “We are deeply saddened that we are unable to execute this project on schedule this weekend. We do apologise to the participants who have registered already and to those who have indicated their support in terms of attendance. We promise to make sure that for the new date we can get things up and running to have a great day of sports and challenging events.”
This inaugural competition is still set to highlight fathers teaming with their sons in three categories, 7 to 9, 10 to 12 & 13 to 16, competing in several disciplines to be crowned champion. These events include tug-o-war, softball cricket, and obstacle courses.
The organisers are also encouraging other fathers to register and have now opened access to fathers and their daughters. For more info, contact 672-2719 or 657-8793.
