Dear Editor,
The question on everyone’s mind (both locally and in countries globally) today is, why is our VP Bharrat Jagdeo so bent on letting ExxonMobil get their way on a contract everyone knows is shamefully lopsided but regarded by Mr. Jagdeo as sacrosanct. Our Vice President is fully aware what ExxonMobil, (the Goliath of Oil Exploration) has shamelessly done to other countries, especially in Africa, and continues to do to struggling “Davidian” countries like Guyana. The Bible says “the love of money is the root of all evil” and greedy men easily fall prey to such evil deeds.
My fellow Guyanese, let us all stand up for what is right, not only for ourselves, but for our children and grandchildren. Let us pray for deliverance from our enemies, that God will be on the side of this nation and pour out his blessings on those who stand with us but damn all those who seek to hurt us financially or otherwise.
Sincerely,
Gloria Holder
