Infrastructural works in Region 4 to cost $873M – Engineer estimates

Kaieteur News – During the recent opening of tenders at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office, a total of $873,506,078 in engineer’s estimates were opened for infrastructural development works for communities in Region Four.
The procuring entity for these projects is the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA). Following the recent allocation of house lots in various parts of the country the Ministry of Housing and Water, through the CH&PA, has been embarking on a number of infrastructural works to develop those new housing areas.
From this year’s budget, Senior Minister within the Office of the President with responsibility for Finance, Dr. Ashni Singh had announced that the sum of $12.4 billion has been allocated for the Ministry to continue infrastructure works in the housing areas.
Meanwhile, bids were opened on Friday for more miscellaneous roads projects being undertaken by the Ministry of Public Works.
