The PPP has done terrible things to Guyana and does not intend to stop

Dear Editor,

The cost of living is sky high in Guyana and the average man/woman is suffering and down on hard times. There is no question that the PPP is and has always been an uncaring government that put the population through hell. Yet, ministers, their families and cronies are enjoying the good life.
Why must our citizens struggle to buy plantains and can barely afford to buy eggs? Indians are struggling, Africans are struggling and Amerindians too. Even the Chinese are complaining that the price of noodles is no longer affordable. It is already public knowledge that Mr Jagdeo is ill. No matter our political differences or how much I despise him, as a human being I will not wish him any bad in terms of his illness.
Sickness will eventually envelope us all and death is a sure thing for us mortals but the record of how we live will stay in the hearts of those we have affected.
A person who had just returned to Barbados from Guyana while I was there told me that they were in Mr. Jagdeo’s presence and he seemed very unwell. If the doctor told Mr. Jagdeo that he should stay away from certain foods that doesn’t translate to mean that Guyanese cannot enjoy food of their choice. Jagdeo runs Guyana, what will he do about the cost of living? There should be a national strike to signal to the PPP that the Guyanese people are serious about the cost of living. Why children cannot have plantains and eggs in their lunch kits? The PPP have done terrible things to Guyana and do not intend to stop.
