According to police, Ralph and Jonas and a colleague had worked on a land dredge together with Albert at Mahdia.
On Monday last, they reportedly began imbibing together and had become intoxicated. At around 01:30hrs, a drunken brawl erupted between Albert and their colleague. Police reported that the colleague had told them that the brawl started after Albert made an “inappropriate advance” towards him.
As the argument intensified between them, the colleague reportedly took out a knife and stabbed Albert twice to his back. Jonas and Ralph soon joined him in attacking the wounded Albert again after they learnt of the inappropriate advance he allegedly made.
According to investigators, the three men allegedly stabbed Albert several times about his body until he was dead. Jonas and Ralph reportedly ran away but their colleague was too drunk to run with them and was found by police at the scene next to Albert’s body.
