APNUites Practice very things they condemned in opposition

Reference is made to Freddie’s column, “The Dominic Gaskin story: A curious inexplicability” (Sept. 7) wherein he explained why Mr. Gaskin is treated with deference and Indians like Vishnu Bisram, Freddie Kissoon himself, Ryhaan Shah and Ravi Dev are seen as inferior species and not treated with deference by the Creole (mulatto) elite and even dark-skinned people. “Indian intellectuals are easy target for abuse” because of their ethnicity and colour.
As Freddie rightly stated, it is the psychology of the mind that people are enamoured by, attracted to, and respect light complexioned or Mixed-White race people (and of course Whites) who are viewed since early colonial time as superior being. People are conditioned into that mode of thinking. It is so all over the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, India, North America. It is observed even at the village level in India.
It should be noted that while Indian intellectuals, including Freddie, have been abused on social media by the privileged Creole class and those who lost political privileges from March 2020, they are admired and revered by the Indian community. Freddie and a few other Indians are viewed as heroes for combating electoral fraud and for defending the Indian community against derision and an onslaught of physical and verbal attacks. Freddie and other regular Indian letter writers write things that are factual that others lack courage to say. By the way, the Creole or mulatto class not only has disdain for Indian intellectuals or intelligentsia, they also despise the Indian political leadership and others acquired status through hard work like newspaper publisher Glenn Lall. The Creole elite also detest Indians who are opposed to the PPP.
I note that several Indian intellectuals and activists like Freddie, and including this writer, Ravi Dev, Baytoram Ramharack, etc. have engaged African intellectuals and activists to address the ethnic and political problems of the country. While Indians showed reverence and respect for them, they don’t reciprocate in kind. When in government, they return to Burnhamite ways. While they would agree to power sharing and good governance when out of power, once in government, APNU (including WPAites) supported intellectuals forget those ideas. While in opposition, they fought against election rigging, when in government, they shamelessly closed their eyes to rigging. In government, they embraced, practised, and supported the very things they condemned when they were in the opposition. And they ignored those of us who consistently championed equitable government.
