Fisherman Masters, Pradeep XI triumph
Kaieteur News – Fisherman Masters and Pradeep XI registered wins in the Masters and Open categories respectively when the Pradeep Memorial over 40 softball competition was contested on Sunday last at LBI.
The victorious Fisherman Masters team.
Fisherman beat Success Masters by 82 runs. Batting first, Fisherman made 145 for 5 in 15 overs with Wasir Majeed scoring 39 and Zameer Hassan 38.
Bowling for Success Masters, Dindial Lakhan took 2 for 20 and Randy Ketwaru 2 for 30.
Success Masters replied with 83 for 7. Randy Ketwaru scored 44. Bowling for Fishermen, Doodnauth Ramdeen had 2 for 8, Stanley Mahabir 2 for 30, Zameer Hassan 1 for 20 and Wasir Majeed 1 for 12.
Pradeep XI beat Friends XI by six runs. Batting first, Pradeep XI managed 129 for 4 in 15 overs. Rajin Mohammed struck 55 and Anand Rooplall 30. Bowling for Friends XI, Kelvin Orford had 1 for 15 and Latchman Chinapen 1 for 20.
Friends XI replied with 124 for 5. Kelvin Orford made 30, Chris Ramnarine 24 and Latchman Chinapen 22. Bowling for Pradeep XI, Ravi Ramnauth took 2 for 15 and Leo Singh 2 for 29.
