Dear Editor,
Residents living at Good Hope Phase Three on the East Coast of Demerara are calling on the relevant authorities to investigate and remove squatters who are taking up illegal residency on Government reserves and private properties.
These squatters are involved in all sorts of illegal activities, which are affecting law-abiding citizens daily; some of these activities include illegal GPL and GWI connectivity, selling of marijuana, and planting of same. Added to this, they are dumping and burning garbage on the roadways, blasting of offensive music day and night.
These squatters have been destroying our peaceful community, even more frustrating, we have invested so much money in this village and now we are now forced to consider selling out our properties for below market value just to keep our families safe.
Yours truly,
