Hamid’s Family dominoes commences today
Exciting dominoes action is anticipated today when some of the top teams from West Demerara collide in the Hamid’s Family competition from 13:00hrs at Tarla Dam, Zeeburg.
The organisers and sponsors with the prizes, from left Devon Allen, Bisram Thomas, Mark Wiltshire and Solomon (only name given).
Entrance fee is $12,000, while an additional $80,000 will be added to the prizes. The competition will conclude tomorrow and the winning team will take home a trophy and $120,000, the runner up a trophy and $60,000 and third place a trophy and $30,000. The MVP will also be rewarded. According to organiser Mark Wiltshire, play will not exceed 18:00hrs on each day in keeping with the curfew.
Among the teams expected to participate are West Side, Mix Up, C 7, Executive, Big Boss, Spartons, Turning Point and Zeeburg.
