Shame on GECOM
DEAR EDITOR,
On the 15th April 2020 South Korea – despite having had almost 11,000 confirmed corona virus positive patients and 240 corona virus deaths – was able to hold Parliamentary Elections using paper ballots (just like in Guyana), with some 29 million votes cast, under a totally new voting system, and yet declare the final hand counted results within twenty-four hours!
Now there is GECOM talk of a recount in Guyana that will take how many weeks exactly? Shame on GECOM for its abject failings!
