DEAR EDITOR,
Recently, Justin Nedd CEO of GTT announced that the staff of GTT will be receiving pay cuts as a result of COVID-19 in Guyana starting at the Executive level. But behold! GTT has hired a new Sales Lead for their Business Solutions Department. He was stolen from Digicel Guyana. If you’re cutting on expenses, does this make sense? Does Mr. Nedd really take the Guyanese people, more so, his hard working long standing staff for fools?
GTT is receiving full payments from all of their customers; both residential and businesses (ExxonMobil, GYSBI, and all other O&G companies, etc.) Does Mr. Nedd really take the Guyanese people for fools?
Please Mr. Nedd, you can’t cut the salaries of staff while still receiving full payments from your customers. Please have a heart.
Yog Mahadeo had the decency to step down after he was advised of a “lapse of internal control” that occured on his watch. Do the right thing, Sir!
Yours sincerely,
Concerned Guyanese
