82% of Joint Services turned out to vote
The disciplined services voted at a high turnout of 82 percent last Friday, according to Guyana Elections Commission public relations officer, Yolanda

The turnout for the Guyana Police Force (GPF) was 5,400 (80.6 percent); Guyana Defence Force (GDF) – 2,539 (83.6 percent); Guyana Prison Service (GPS) – 430 (88.1 percent).
That amounted to a total of 8,369 votes from a list totaling 10,226 eligible voters.
The governing coalition commended the high voter turnout in a statement, as they prepare to provide security for the March 2 general and regional elections.
Kaieteur News understands that the Guyana Fire Service (GFS) will be voting on March 2, with the rest of the general populace.
