Bacchus Bulls defeated Reliance Hustlers by 70 runs to win the final of the Central Essequibo T20 cricket competition which was contested on Sunday last at Imam Bacchus ground. Batting first, Bacchus Bulls managed 175-4.
Skipper Yogeshwar Lall made 59 with two fours and three sixes while Navendra Persaud scored 33, Latchman Rohit 28 and Neiland Cadogan 27. Anthony Ifill had 2-30. Reliance Hustlers were bowled out for 105 in 18.5 overs in reply.
Beesham Narine made 19 and Travis Simon 17; Parmesh Parsotam captured 4-18 and Cadogan 2-15. Lall was named man-of-the-match while Parsotam received the best bowler accolade and Mark Austin was voted the most valuable player.
Bacchus Bulls received a trophy and $50,000 and Reliance Hustlers a trophy and $20,000.
