Response is being made to Paul Ramrattan’s letter with the screaming headline “A FOREWARNING – Do NOT Extend the life of the 11th Parliament” (KN 23rd September2019). Had Paul stopped to take note and ask questions before writing his erroneous letter, he would know the 11th Parliament has not ended.
If Ramrattan thinks the Opposition should not return to Parliament and vote to extend the time to hold election that is a problem for him and those who feel the same way. The Constitution requires the vote according to Article 106(7).
Right thinking Guyanese will sit and watch the play of the assign. In time, they will come to their senses, play themselves out or exhaust their energies.
