Four ranks of City Constabulary within the Georgetown Mayor and City Council were granted on the spot promotions yesterday. At the statutory
meeting held at City Hall, four officers were decorated with badges of promotion by Mayor of Georgetown Ubraj Narine.The promoted ranks under the City Constabulary department include Assistant Superintendant Peter Livingston who was promoted to the rank of Superintendant. Assistant Superintendant Vijanand Gafoor was elevated to Deputy Superintendant; Sergeant Marston McInroy to the rank of Inspector and Corporal Quincy Baveghems elevated to Sergeant. The ranks were promoted following recommendations by the Council and approval of the Local Government Commission (LGC).
