DEAR EDITOR,
The Caribbean Court of Justice has done a great injustice to the upswing of the nation of Guyana. One wonders, whether the recent rulings in the matters of Guyana’s politics is an attempt to prevent this nation from moving into that position of becoming the wealthiest nation in the region?
I wish to say to these great jurists that they have put Guyana back to an era that we would prefer not to remember. True justice and the people of Guyana have been made fun of. However I declare that good will prevail over evil.
People of Guyana, we must not let our progress achieved in togetherness come to a standstill.
We must not go back to that place where Guyanese were divided. We have come too far to turn back now. Those who seek to enrich themselves and friends from the assets of our State must not be allowed to do so. Guyana and her wealth must be shared among all Guyanese.
We are among the framers of Caricom, but once again Caricom has failed us when we needed them most, and they have done so in the highest court. I speak not against the call for calm and hope by our President, who has been a President for all our people. I merely express my right to speak in the face of such miscarriage of justice.
Let us come together Guyana, let us return to our homeland if possible. Let us join the fight for one Guyana now. Let us war against that spirit that seeks to promote disunity. Let us fight against the monster of corruption that now drives many of our political figures. Let us fight now that our children will have a place in our dear land.
Apostle Adrian Wade
