A brilliant man like Anil Nanlall should have been contacted
DEAR EDITOR,
A national publication’s recent editorial was basically saying that the 34 majority ruling is the most ridiculous judicial decision the world has ever seen.
Mr. Nandalall is a brilliant man and a top-notch legal mind; there is no ifs and buts about that. For me, Mr. Nandalall will (in a legal match) beat AG Williams every day of the workweek, also on weekends.
I would like to respectfully request that the editorial writer make a quick call to Mr. Nandlall and ask him if in 2014 (during the talk about no-confidence motion) he had sought independent legal advice on this same “majority 34” issue.
If a legal giant like Mr. Nandlall can have a degree of uncertainty about a matter, it beats me how this publication can be so pompous.
Its founder must be turning in his grave.
