The four players in Natalie Cummings, Joel Alleyne, Nigel Bryan and Elishaba Johnson spent one month in China and they noted that like the training, the Chinese hospitality was exceptional and expressed gratitude for the opportunity.
The training was facilitated through the support of Government of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Republic of China Embassy Guyana, and based on current technical and diplomatic engagements between our two nations.
In the correspondence, the GTTA noted that, “We truly believe that these engagements will provide key benefits to raising the level of performance of our players and in enhancing the cooperation between the peoples of China and Guyana.
The Guyana Table Tennis Association would like to express its gratitude to the Government of the People’s Republic of China, the People’s Republic of China Embassy Guyana through His Excellency Ambassador Cui Jianchun and Charge de Affaires Mr. Chen Xillai and Mrs. Wang Quiyi for their input and support in the provision of critical high level table tennis training and other key initiatives and support programmes being offered to Guyana, aimed at supporting and improving the performance and development of Guyana’s Table Tennis.”
