ERC engages Indigenous Peoples Commission
The Ethnic Relations Commission, (ERC), recently met the Indigenous Peoples Commission (IPC). Both sides gave firm commitments to collaborate during the New Year and to work towards
finding solutions to issues affecting the indigenous peoples of Guyana.

During the two-hour long consultation at the ERC office in Georgetown, members of the IPC discussed many challenges, including the language barriers, and social ills facing the indigenous peoples.
The meeting was the last of its kind for 2018 involving the new ERC and many stakeholders, to which it has re-introduced itself, since it was resuscitated last February.
