GAPLF Senior Nationals 2018 Meet the Record Breakers

The 2018 edition of the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPLF) was contested on Sunday last at Saints Stanislaus College Auditorium where a total of 28 records were set by 13 of the 26 competitors, half of the athletes that took to the platform.
Kaieteur Sport is pleased to introduce you to these courageous athletes whose disciplined work saw them reaping the rewards of being the best whilst setting national standards. These athletes have also placed themselves into contention of making the national team for overseas competitions in 2018.

Junica Pluck (Space Gym), 63kg Open Equipped Category, Squat (135.5kg), Bench Press (68.0kg), Deadlift (133.0kg) and Total (336.5kg).

Runita White (Buddys Gym), Junior Classic 84+kg Class, Squat (182.5kg), Bench Press (75.0kg), Deadlift (196.0kg) and Total (453.5kg).

Lisa Oudit (Buddys Gym), Open Classic 84kg Class, Deadlift (151.0kg) and Total (336.0kg).

Natoya Robinson (Buddys Gym), Open Classic 84+kg Class, Bench (93.0kg) and Deadlift (200.0kg).

Blossom Babb (Tower Gym), Open Classic 84kg Class, Bench Press (65.0kg).

Ramzam Mohamed (Hardcore Barbel Club), Junior Equipped 120kg Class, Squat (285.0kg), Deadlift (245.0kg) and Total (672.5kg).

Bjorn Williams (GAPLF), Open Classic 105kg Class, Bench (150.0kg) and Total (635.0kg).

Frank Tucker (Kingsrow Barbel Club), Master 3, 2 and 1 Equipped 105kg Class, Deadlift (205.0kg).

Joseph Stoll (Buddys Gym), Master 2 Classic 105kg Class, Deadlift (200.0kg).

Carlos Petterson-Griffith (Home Gym), Open Equipped 93kg Class, Squat (320.0kg) and Total (810.0kg).

Vijai Rahim (Hardcore Barbel Club), Open Equipped 74kg Class, Bench (172.5kg) and Deadlift (297.5kg).

Noel Cummings (Buddys Gym), Master 4 and 3 Classic 66kg Class, Squat (130.5kg)
