Shotgun, 67 cartridges discovered on vessel intercepted in Pomeroon
Two men are now in police custody after their vessel was intercepted on Thursday at the Pomeroon River Mouth.
According to reports, some time around 15:15 hrs on Thursday, a cargo vessel under observation was intercepted by joint Custom Anti-Narcotics Unit [CANU], Coast Guard and Police.
Though no narcotics were found onboard the vessel, one shotgun and 67 cartridges were discovered. The captain and bowman, aged 32 and 28 respectively; were taken into police custody.
Investigation into the matter continues.
