Quincy Henry, a handyman who is also called “Fix It”, has pleaded guilty to an attempted murder charge during his second appearance before Justice Brassington Reynolds at the Georgetown High Court.
According to the charge, Henry had wounded Troy Bacchus, called “Fletcher”, with the intent of murdering him on September 20, 2015, at Bourda, Georgetown. On Wednesday the indictment against Henry was presented by State Prosecutors Tiffani Lyken, Seeta Bishundial and Narissa Leander.
According to the facts of the case, Henry who works as a handyman, had a habit of asking individuals for money. On the day in question, Bacchus refused to give the accused any money which reportedly led to an altercation between the two.
Henry had initially denied the allegation.
On Wednesday, a 12-member mixed jury was also empanelled to hear the case. Yesterday however, the man opted to change his plea to guilty. In light of his change of heart, the Court has adjourned the matter until October 8 for sentencing.
