Dear Editor,
We the miners, shop owners and residents of Eteringbang, Arau, Mudhole, Blackwater, Baboon Backdam, and Devil Hole Landing and Backdam in the Cuyuni River are hereby writing this letter to inform you of the brave and excellent work being carried out by Inspector Benn and the ranks of the Eteringbang Police Station , Arau and Makapa, Even though they have to face up with the dangerous gangs on a daily basis namely the Sindicato and Forks groups that are using the said river. We would like to have more policemen here and a bigger station for them. Not all the time we see the soldiers on patrol with them which we see as extra bravery on their part, we are also pleased and feel secure to some point to have the police presence every night especially on the Eterengbang landing enforcing the 2.00 a.m. curfew and clearing of persons off the landing. We would like to thank them once more for keeping us safe.
Regards,
Mark De Abrue Shemar Valdez Mickey De Fraitus Shanta Sancharrier
