There must be something in the air that is causing men to attack women at the drop of a hat. A young man is going to stab a young woman with whom he shared a relationship for reasons best known to himself.
The situation is such that the woman is seriously wounded. The police are going to arrest the suspect but only after neighbours cooperate in identifying his location.

The fires are back. It is no longer careless use of lighted objects but deliberate attempts. There have been three so far. The next fire would be the result of a drunken argument. Again the losses would be significant.
A nearby house would be threatened, so the threat of destruction is never far from an innocent person.

Another criminal attack would end disastrously for the victim. A gunman would shoot the victim although there would be no need to. Such is the case of young illiterates.
The police are going to respond, but it will be days before they attempt to apprehend the culprit.
