The 8th annual Malta Supreme cycling meet is set for Saturday at the inner circuit of the National Park starting at 09:00hrs. 11 races are carded for the day with the main event being the 35-lap which was won by Hamza Eastman in 2017 in a time of one hour 21 minutes.
Nigel Duguid Jnr is the defending champion for the Juveniles event which he won in a time of 23 minutes 59 seconds, while Sean Green holds the Under-50 five-lap title in 11 minutes 12 seconds.
Other winners from last year’s event were Ryan Canterbury who won the mountain bike 5-lap event, Jonathan Ramsuchit the 12-14 boys and girls 3-lap race in 8 minutes 25.15 seconds and Jared Barrington the BMX Boys 6-9 years 2-lap race.
Brand Manager, Clayton Mckenzie and other representatives of Banks DIH are expected to be on hand to witness the event and present prizes.
Among those expected to take part are Romello Crawford, Curtis Dey, Andrew Hicks, Jamaul John, Paul De Nobrega and Raynauth Jeffrey.
