Lester Oselmo, 32, of Lot 152 Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara (EBD), is Guyana’s latest road fatality.
Oselmo was struck down by motorcar PHH 4810, while attempting to cross the Soesdyke, (EBD) Public Road.
The vehicle was driven by Bobby Moore of Lot 14 Norton Street, Wortmanville Georgetown.
Moore was said to be driving along the Soesdyke Public Road when Oselmo crossed into his path.
Witnesses claim that the driver tried to swerve but struck Oselmo.
Moore was said to have picked up Oselmo in an unconscious state and taken him to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre (DDC) where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Traffic ranks investigating the accident from the Madewini Police Outpost, on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway, reportedly conducted a breathalyzer test on Bobby Moore, in the presence of the victim’s distraught parents.
This publication has confirmed that the test showed no traces of alcohol.
