Dear Editor,
No one can disagree that there are many ancient artifacts from the past that are still running around and mismanaging the Georgetown City Council, but I must admit that one of them recently made an amazing discovery; a discovery that should earn him a national award.
This elder Councillor, who is the Chairman of an important Committee discovered and announced that all of the Georgetown City Councillors are stupid people; a waste of flesh and brain cells. How did he come to this realization?
Well, it is actually not that difficult for a stupid person to recognize that he and his colleagues are stupid. Stupid people always blame others for their own mistakes. It’s very noticeable, unprofessional, and something a smart person would never do.
If you consistently try to foist your mistakes on others, you demonstrate to everyone that you can’t be the sharpest tool in the shed. Of course the woes of the city always cast upon the citizens and not the incompetence of the City Council, whether it be the litter all over the city, the late payments monthly to workers, the robberies around the municipal markets, the derelict condition of City Hall or the enormous debt that the city has incurred.
Stupid people always have to be right. Just look at the parking meter fiasco, the attempted land grab of the Bel Air Park playfield or the nonpayment to the garbage contractors.
Stupid people always ignore the needs and feelings of other people. This is clearly demonstrated when the Council splurges money on itself on luxury foreign trips, fancy vehicles whilst failing to repair roads, to replace defective street lights or clean the drains.
Stupid people react to conflicts with anger and aggression. Obviously even the smartest people can get really angry from time to time. But for less intelligent people this is the go-to reaction whenever things aren’t going their way.
When they feel like they don’t have control over a situation as much as they would like, they tend to use anger and aggressive behavior to secure their position. One just has to sit in on a statutory meeting to see what obtains.
And finally stupid people think they are better than everyone else, and thus the reason why they regale themselves with bodyguards, have the city purchase for them expensive sports utility vehicles, take off on frequent first class luxury trips abroad etc.

(Kaieteur News) – There was a time when things were used as they were intended. A fork for eating and a bed for sleeping. (Kaieteur News) – I rarely talk about what comes out of the White House, the Dept. of Justice, and the US, in general.
