DEAR EDITOR,
The world is investing heavily in technological development, and Guyana is no exception. Our commercial banks must re-think, how imperative customers are, and security must be number one on the list of priority. These days, customers have to pay service charges on most transactions, and that is why every bank should construct a closed-circuit television (CCTV) network, with a large monitor screen, in a suitable area, so customers, staff and security, can see all movements, from time entering to time leaving, with full view of the compound, and if possible, the surrounding roads.
To make this system work, customers have to be in-booth with tellers, and this will certainly remove suspicious feeling about tellers and also decrease the bandits targeting/trailing of customers. I now look forward to the Guyana Association of Bankers playing a pivotal role in the above subject.
Yours Co-operatively,
Parmanand Ram
