Berbice Amateur Basketball Association 2018 Knockout Basketball Tournament continued last weekend at the New Amsterdam Basketball Court with Canje Knights playing New Amsterdam Thunder.
Knights defeated Thunder 79-50 on Friday. For Knights, Jamal Felix with 20 points, Tyrone Dey 12 and Cledwin Cort 21 points were the standouts.
On the same court on Sunday, Hopetown Stealers comprehensively defeated their opponents Fyrish Black Sharks 54-49 to book a place in the final. Kevon Mars 17 points, Ruel Edwards 13 points and Neil McDonald 11 points led their charge.
The second semi-final will be played on Sunday at New Amsterdam Court, Vryman’s Erven between Rose Hall Town Jammers and Canje Knights starting at 6:00pm.
The First prize has been sponsored by A. Ally & Sons, while the second prize is sponsored by Peter Lewis Construction.
