Mar 28, 2018 Dem Boys Seh, Features / Columnists
A lot has been said about de first oil contract de govt release. Dem boys show de whole country dat dem gun get little. Of course it cause nuff row.
Some people seh de people at de Waterfalls paper was anti-national and how dem chasing away people who gun mek Guyana rich.
Dem boys now seeing dat things is not as clear as dem believe. When dem look at de contract wha Donald sign just before he lose de election, dem boys see trouble.
When dem boys read de contract, it look good but is when dem sit down and really read it back dat dem see exactly wha Donald sign.
Couple people read de thing and see de royalty. It was so small dat even wid a magnifying glass dem could barely see it.
But before dem could really watch de royalty good, it disappear. It gun disappear in real life too.
De oil companies, all of dem except Exxon, doing something dat nobody ever see in any part of de world. Royalty is something dat does come off de top of any venture.
Donald sign suh de royalty can only get collect after all de expenses come out. Dem boys seh by de time de people done mek all de deduction, de only way Guyana gun get any royalty is if de people forget fuh mek any deduction.
Is now dem boys realize dat Donald use a photocopying machine wha he use to mek all dem oil contract.
If anything, dem boys now realize dat Guyana had a desire to give away all de oil. Trinidad do de same thing and is now de Prime Minister trying to pull back something.
But as dem boys seh, it hard to put a pig in a pen after it run out.
Talk half and watch how Guyana sign away its legacy.
