With her new Carifesta Rose and “Unit-3 Bouquets” creations making waves on the market, Intricate Creations is set to go places. The group which recently came on the scene has been taking the country by storm with its unique creations.
After participating in many expos locally over the past few years founder and CEO of the Intricate Creations Ms. Melba La Goudoue is set for bigger things.
Located in Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, Berbice, Intricate Creations will be among the Guyanese lot selected to exhibit her talent at Carifesta XIII to be held in Barbados in August.
The Intricate Creations artistries are a rare breed and are not done by other designers in Guyana. The creations are completely unique and carries Ms La Goudoue’s signature.
What is also special and stands out, is that, she uses byproducts from plants for her creativities. Especially the Coconut Palm and other scrap materials.
They are mostly earth tones in colors and the pieces are organic which reminds one of an Eco friendly environment and up cycling management. The Intricate Creations line of work also sits well with the country’s Green and Eco Friendly agenda.
This will be her second major assignment representing Guyana overseas, having represented Guyana, at the United Business Fair in Suriname. The group of exhibitors was led by Ms. Sonia Noel of the Sonia Noel Foundation and founder of the Guyana Fashion Week. It was after experience that she gained more courage and confidence to further showcase her creativities which are all hand crafted.
In preparations for her trip to Carifesta, Melba has been working on some new creations which have already hit the market by storm. She has so far completed four new creativities. The Carifesta Rose has so far been the hit. Apart from the Carifesta Rose, she has also handcrafted the “Unit-3 Bouquet,” which has three shimmering roses that represent the three counties of Guyana– Essequibo, Demerara and Berbice.
Miss Guyana UK 2016 – 2017 Ms. Felicity Hosannah was presented with the first “Unity-3” bouquet when she visited Berbice recently.
Also in preparation for her trip overseas- La Goudoue and Sonia Noel collaborated to conduct a number of skills training workshops for differently able students of the David Rose School of the Handicap and the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre.
The group is also expected to continue its ongoing training programmme with the differently able children in Berbice and the Ministry Of Culture, Youth and Sport, drop in Center at Smythfield, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
At present, the Intricate Creations group is receiving orders from various parts of the world and the trip to Carifesta will definitely enhanced its reputation and put Guyana on the map.
